As a reaction to WotC's massive PR blunder, White Wolf is offering a PDF download of Exalted for free. Might want to snag that while you can.

An epic fail on my part = me being unenrolled from Spring quarter at TCC due to not paying tuition on time. Struggling to recover from this, not helped by the horrible mess that is the TCC web system (which apparently has a bedtime of 10:00 - since when do computers need sleep?) Have emailed the teachers and am getting up early tomorrow morning to go to campus, though I'm not really sure what I hope to accomplish while over there.

Argh.

This one's still a little rough around the edges, but I wanted to get it out there. As with most of my recent work, it's meant to loop, and may sound rather weird if it doesn't. Trying some different chord progressions than usual, in the hopes of expanding my repertoire a bit.

In other news, my external hard drive has died. Nothing mission-critical on it, but 200gb of downloaded stuff is gone now. :/

So, after over a year of silence, sylviaviridian seems to be alive after all. And has de-friended me after making her journal friends-only. Oh well. Glad she's apparently doing better, at least.

As I may have said previously, in my family's 4e game I've handed the DMing of my campaign over to my dad, in order to play an NPC I created as a PC for a while. He was just too much fun to not make a full-fledged character out of, and so far it's been a great deal of fun seeing how he interacts with the rest of the party. It's also been an interesting exercise in seeing just how offbeat a character you can make just by reflavoring things and roleplaying accordingly (and admittedly a single minor rules change - but other than a racial power substitution, this guy's stock PHB, mechanically speaking).

And now I've finally gotten around to properly fleshing out his backstory.

Life is continuing to mess with my head. It's a wild trip, but a fun one. A bit exhausting to keep up with, but the smiling and laughing makes up for the crying.

It has been recently alleged that my personality is somewhat feminine. After investigation of what the remark meant, and some reflection, I can't honestly disagree.

Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough attention to distribute between school and the rest of my life. Failing to focus on school has some dire consequences, but failing to focus on life causes rapid loss of health and sanity. Personally, I care more about life right now, but I can't really afford to.

The piano woman is back. The one who doesn't seem all there, and substitutes a C major for all other chords. I managed to get a Future Soon in edgewise. Now I'm just editing LJ instead of pianoing before class.

I am learning virtually nothing in school, and a terrifying amount in life. Wondering if I should pace myself a bit more, but my craving for understanding drives me onward.
